2G/3G RF Optimization Engineer
2. Implementation Manger
The following responsibilities apply to this role:
• Forecast planning for the upcoming projects to ensure the availability of required resources/services to the customer.
• Project cost analysis to control resources and monitoring overall performance to maintain the quality of work.
• Scope management, procurement/outsource management.
• Preparing work procedures, check lists, testing procedures to standardized the job descriptions.
• Attending meetings with customer to discuss issues and to provide their effective solutions.
• Personal development talk programs for employee’s encouragement and to provide suitable solution to their problems.
• Planning and managing available resources with in the pre-defined budget.
• Verifying project documentation and presenting update reports to the customer to ensure continuous progress and maintained quality.
• Planning MRF, MMF and material returns and co-ordination with Logistics for smooth and timely delivery of site material.
• Produce and maintain project work quality according to the customer’s pre defined standards.
• Offer technical expertise in ALL Transmission hardware installation, testing and integration. Assist in SW deployment and upgrades, cutover and radio network performance test.
• Produce and manage, ASP teams, provide support and supervision to all field activities in the assigned region. Prepare accurate and timely reports for the project. Work with ASP PM, track ASP progress on a daily basis, engage ASP resources and timely escalations to manager when required.
• Proactive in co-ordination with Project groups (e.g. Site Acquisition, Civil Works, IE engineers, TND etc).
3. Field Maintenance Access Engineer
Job Description:
a. The purpose of MS field engineer functional role is to perform the following field activities: corrective and preventive maintenance, planned work as well as provisioning of Multi-Customer, Multi Technology networks
b. Installation, commissioning, maintenance and fault diagnosis of BTS, both 2G and 3G, microwave radios/network, SDH radios, Tellabs DXX with rectification of faults within stringent SLA’s.
c. The Field Engineer is responsible for all day-to-day activities on non-core network elements and systems as directed by Work Orders issued from the dispatch function.
d. The Field Engineer must be able to resolve any HW problem on non-core network elements and systems, introduce software updates and do basic equipment, software and port configurations.
e. The Field Engineer will follow defined procedures and take full responsibility for all the preventive and corrective maintenance actions taken.
f. Field Engineers will be required to be part of a 24-hour call-out rota.
g. Liaison with internal departments and external companies/vendors to obtain successful completion of work orders.
h. Produces documentation, such as test protocols, acceptance protocols etc, (before, during and after installation) to make it possible to follow documented notes of what actions have been done and when and by whom
i. Measures the quality of the installation of the equipment so that the installation meets set quality standards
j. Field Engineer shall keep Ericsson assets such as tools, test equipments and car in good working order during their work period.
k. Field Engineer shall do travel expenses and time reporting according to local policies
l. Field Engineer shall comply with the Ericsson/Customer Health and Safety policy at all times (dependant upon which policy is the most stringent). They shall wear all appropriate safety garments and equipment when required.
m. Training the newly recruited field engineers to understand faults and working practices.
