DESCRIPTION GIS Solution expert manager will lead team of GIS specialist/developers to delivering product/project on time and specification as per client. GIS solution expert will manage team of gis solution and developers. GIS products manager will have strong technical skills to develop leading edge GIS applications and products to market. GIS product manager will have strong interpersonal skills to work with managements, clients and employees and suppliers GIS Technical manager will have strong skills for GIS audits, security and processes The Role Leading team of technical people for developing products and GIS services for market Product development manager needs to be abreast with latest in technical solution set for GIS, IT , Mobile and development methodologies Requirements gathering system analysis experience with advanced structured techniques like KAOS, SSADM Person needs to be following development, documentation latest methodologies to ensure compliance with global standards like SCRUM, Waterfall, spiral, Agile Person can also act as technical auditor for processes and audit technical work. Perform quality assurance on work done Make procedures to make quality procedures for technical work strong Security audit to ensure digital sources are safe guarded Give training for audit, quality and security and technical topics to team Person needs to have follow PMP and other standards for product development Ability to work with staff on site and Need to be abreast with latest GIS services in market in Desktop, mobile and internet domain Needs to work with major GIS platforms to enhance product development Needs training, coaching for staff development. Strong sql or related RDBMS skills including development skills Excellent verbal / written communication skills Genuinely excited and enthusiastic about learning and pushing technical limits / finding new solutions Good writing skills - for documentation, training, processes Formal training (eg. Degree) or high level of experience with GIS. Hands-on experience Good analytical / problem solving skills Good IT technical skills The ability to think and solve problems Gather requirements from customer in a structured manner Able to priorities customer requirements Able to document requirements from customer and signoff Able to make entity relationship and other diagram for communication to developers clearly Must be able to work both independently and as part of a team, meet deadlines, and produce high quality work. The person will ensure that applications are developed in accordance with the standards and protocols and meet the user’s functional requirements. They will also assist in evaluating emerging technologies and engage in continuous professional development Experience in handling project tasks audit , QA to ensure this is meeting requirements for clients..
Desired Skills and Experience
Experience 3-5 years of experience in GIS and application development management roles
Experience in technical audit/ QA, procedures, security for at least 2 years
Able to finish GIS development project on time and quality
Proven track record of completing projects
Project management experience
PMO certification will be big plus
Skills GIS tools of Esri probably plus, oracle, MS, sql, MapInfo
The successful applicant will have a degree bachelor or probably masters in Computer Science or Geography, or business analysis job experience
