Front Desk Agent


POSITION PURPOSE
To welcome guests to the Hotel, answer guest questions and resolve guest problems. To perform check in, check out duties and receive payments for guests.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
• Ensure prompt, efficient and courteous reception of guests
• Record and administer arrivals and departures
• Full awareness of current daily status of Hotel
• Communication and recording of complaints
• Be aware of daily functions, events, VIP and group arrivals
• Ensure guest’s immediate requirements are catered for
• Awareness of regular guest names & requirements
• Receipt of payments
• Issue safe deposit boxes and allow guest access in accordance with procedures
• To carry out any other duties as required

SPECIFIC JOB KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

The individual must possess the following knowledge, skills and abilities and be able to explain and demonstrate that he or she can perform the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation, using some other combination of knowledge, skills, and abilities.

• Must be able to speak, read, write and understand English.
• Arabic language proficiency will be an advantage.
• Requires good communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Computer skills would be advantageous.
• Working knowledge of occupational safety and health.
Requirements

QUALIFICATION STANDARDS

Education:
Higher National Diploma or Diploma in Hospitality or Business.

Experience:
1-2 years of experience in hotel environment.

Grooming:
All employees must maintain a neat, clean and well-groomed appearance per hotel standards
