Partnership executive


Duties & Responsibilities
• Coordinates fundraising strategies and is responsible for supporting major fundraising programs.
• Raises awareness of the organization's work, goals, and financial needs.
• Assists in the development of fundraising goals and soliciting funds.
• Helps to identify new potential donors and organizes initiatives to solicit funding.
• May assist in developing major gift opportunities and writing grant proposals.
• Develops and implements a fundraising plan for the organization which will achieve the goals for sustainable funding, the development of projects, and delivery of core operations.
• Acquires and develops a strong fundraising portfolio together with other members of ESCD staff, stakeholders and relevant contacts.
• Identifies and develops suitable fundraising opportunities, new projects and funds.
• Cultivates and nurtures successful and productive relationships with current and potential corporate/foundation sponsors.
• Accurately monitors fundraising progress and produce quality reports for internal and external parties when required.
• Writes compelling grant proposals and bids to corporate, foundation and government funders.
• Expands the ESCD network through the development of new and beneficial relationships.
• Contributes to ESCD promotional articles and publications to raise awareness of the work and the organization’s aims
• Contributes to the ESCD communication strategy (in relation to fundraising) as required.
• Represents and becomes the ‘face’ of ESCD to the corporate world.
• Attends and participate in necessary meetings e.g. Social Security Fund, UN, national governments and other international organizations.








• Networks effectively and ensure ESCD is maximizing opportunities for funding and development at all times.
• Maintains organized and efficient records of all activities and contacts.
• Maintains an up to date awareness of ESCD activities so that fundraising activities are appropriate and informed correctly.
• Researches, prospects and establishes leads for corporate relationships followed by an introductory needs analysis/discovery meeting utilizing a consultative sales approach.
• Prepares and presents proposals to corporate decision makers.
• Liaises with embassies, ministries, other NGOs with an objective of formulating mutually beneficial programs.
Skills, Experience & Personal Qualities:
• A commitment to working for the voluntary sector.
• A proven relationship building skills, with the ability to engender trust and loyalty from involved parties.
• An understanding of how international agencies operate.
• The ability to multi-task and manage several strands of work at the same time.
• Advanced copy writing/report writing skills.
• An understanding of budgets.
• Excellent communication skills – both written and verbal
• Excellent presentation skills.
• A demonstrated high level of drive whether working as an individual or as part of a team.
• Strong and proven influencing and negotiating skills.
• Excellent working knowledge of English – written and spoken.
• A bachelor's degree.
• 2 to 4 years of related experience.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and iMovie’s.
