CFO


Role Purpose:
Manage the accounting and financial functions for Egypt and also lead the finance function for UAE.

Key responsibilities:
• Manage the Finance functions in Egypt ensuring proper and timely reporting of accounting entries via staff across locations.

• Manage the finances of the company to ensure optimum utilization of the company’s assets, realizing the best possible return on investments at an acceptable risk level and within approved Investment Guidelines, while maintaining sufficient cash accounts to ensure there is never a shortage in cash. Drive development of Guidelines and ensure compliance with those in place

• Assist Global Finance team in formulating accounting and control policies, procedures, reports, and forms with emphasis on the local regulations and practices to streamline the accounting functions in the region.

• Provide Management with information regarding available investment vehicles in the region and recommend investment strategies.

• Prepare the budgets and the financial statements for the region, including all required templates, forecasts, revisions, recommending commentary as required. Act as a KEY contributor to strategic planning and development

• Control expenses based on the approved budget and highlight deviations from budget to the Regional Director and to Global CFO giving reasons for the deviations and recommendations for correction if possible.

• Reporting and accounting as per regulatory and legal requirements including taxation, dividends, annual report and accounts.

• Financial staff management, motivation, training, recruitment and selection.


Qualification:
College graduate with an additional professional qualification in finance. Post graduate in management studies is preferred.
10-15 years experience in finance having experience as “Financial Controller” or CFO.
Experience in insurance industry accounting is a BIG plus.
