Structural design manager civil engineer
Design:
- Perform structural analysis and design for mostly but not limited to horizontal elements, including precast/ prestressed/ post-tensioned / voided/ slabs and beams.
- Carry out cost comparisons and value engineering to choose the most effective type of structural system to price or execute.
- Deliver design solutions to high quality standards in a timely manner to meet project schedules.
Manage:
- Distribute workload among engineers.
- Supervise the design and estimation department composed of 7 engineers.
- Review design, calculations, drawings and specifications.
- Review contracts and scope of works.
- Review quotations.
- Hire and train new engineers in coordination with the HR department.
- Evaluate engineers performance, recommend actions to be taken.
