Chief Financial Officer Jordan


A leading Organization in Amman is seeking to hire a Chief Financial Officer who will have overall responsibility for the management of all financial and business operations at the organization, including longer-term financial planning. The successful candidate, will have the following primary duties and responsibilities:1. Management and leadership of the business office, including Forecasting challenges and develop strategic plans to ensure successful financing, reporting, controls, planning, debt origination, taxation and compliance Advising in all matters relating to the financial health and sustainability of the organization and develop a strategic financial plan Managing the budgeting process on an overall organization level by providing support and counsel to all budget centers to develop individual departmental budgets for the overall completion of an organization budget; managing and leading the work of the organization accounting and business office personnel through the use of standard accounting and bookkeeping procedures; keeping an accurate and continuous record of the cash and financial position of the organization and managing the financial operation of the organization; and ensuring that that these record-keeping standards are consistent with the best practices of peer organizations on an international level Providing financial advice through the preparation of monthly operating statements Overseeing all aspects of financial reporting including monthly management reports of expenditures for use of each individual budget center within the organization; ensuring that the internal budgeting process within the organization is clear and transparent to all budget managers; and ensuring that the budgeting process is operating smoothly and in compliance with the established standards by the governing body Overseeing cash flow planning and ensure availability of funds as needed Managing the FF&E budgets for all operating systems including construction and expansion projects and technology infrastructure and hardware Acting as assistant treasurer and providing the appropriate reports and summaries to the governing body and trustees  Coordinating funding for special projects and money-related matters with the Royal Privy Purse and overseeing such projects to completion Providing necessary reports and reviews for external auditors and securing an annual audit of the organization’s financial records and financial positions, and investigating their findings and recommendations Working closely with the Chief Development Officer on all financial matters related development activities and expenditures as well as donations Working closely with the Director of Human Resources on all matters relating to compensation and benefits; maintaining and securing the confidentiality of financial data in regard to salaries Safely storing copies of all essential organization records and documents at a secure off-campus location Managing and overseeing all organization purchasing, banking activities, payroll and benefits programs Overseeing all contractual matters related to suppliers and service providers, e.g. insurance, travel, etc. Establishing and maintaining productive relationships and representing the organization with various service providers including auditors, tax professionals, legal counselors, administrators, auditors and bankers Ensuring that the company complies with all legal and regulatory requirements related to financial practices
