Deputy Manager/Assistant Manager Accounts


1.Complete responsibility for Oman region including Muscat, Sohar and Salalah for Accounts and Finance for all the businesses
2. Completion of monthly accounts on or before 7th of the following month.
3. Complete statutory audit with the auditor’s report within 3 months from the end of financial year
4. Preparation of monthly variance reports with budgets
5. Deposit cash and checks in the bank on a timely basis
6. Prepare and monitor cash flows for rolling three month period
7. Remitting excess cash to HO on a bi weekly basis
8. Prepare monthly and annual budgets
9. Prepare and submit weekly DRS and Collection report to the Country Manager.
10. Prepare and submit weekly stock reports to the County Manager
11. Ensure smooth, rapid and cost effective clearance of goods from the customs dept. Ensure cost of clearance is within the accepted limits.
12. Have a direct control over Credit policies of the company and monitor credits given to the customers on a monthly basis.
13. Conduct physical verification of fixed assets, stocks and cash on a periodic basis but not less than 2 times a year.
14. Highlight DRs who are late in payment and overdue accounts. Take appropriate measures to recover the same in consultation with Business Heads and senior management. At any cost, report separately all the outstanding DRs more than 90 days old
15. Highlight stocks which are more than 90 days old and take action to liquidate the same in consultation with the Business Heads.
16. Comply with the external and internal auditors requirement in terms of systems controls, improvement in the general functioning of accounts and finance dept, etc.
17. Comply with Govt. and semi Govt. Authorities with all returns relating to licenses, returns, etc.
18. Maintain cost control measures
19. Monitor margins for each Business and highlight shipments/categories where desired margins are not achieved.
20. Prepare books of accounts for local tax payments and other statutory requirements
21. Maintain cordial relationships with Bankers, auditors, sponsors with frequent visits and dialogue.
22. Participate on HR related issues- recruitment, visas, annual holidays, local staff, etc.
23. Monitor functioning of IT function. Ensure all softwares are legal and are in proper use. Monitor use of external devices in the office to limit leakage of data and virus threat if any
24. Ensure timely compliance of all the legal and company law matters in the region
25. Display forward thinking to tackle peculiar issues like cash flows, manpower requirement, etc.
26. Assist Country Manager with the required data on a timely basis.
