Safety Manager Saudi National


Job Description

The Safety Manager serves as a technical resource that is responsible for performing in-depth analysis, developing interventions aimed at reducing job losses, providing necessary training and education to all employees, and performing job site audits, resulting in coaching observations.
• Formulate short and long-range goals to assist Management in the implementation of the Huta Safety Program.
• Lead in the development of a safety and health culture that is consistent with Huta values and safety principles.
• Provide proactive leadership and vision in the reduction of Huta’s safety and health risk exposure.
• Liaison with all home office and operations personnel to ensure adequate resources are available to support the smooth and effective deployment of a Huta Safety Transformation project plan.
• Conduct site safety audits and provide coaching observations to assess the execution of the Huta Safety Program and progress of the Safety Transformation process.
• Establish a Safety Council with a clear performance measurement system for safety and health.
• Coach and provide guidance to Management and Supervision on Occupational Safety & Health issues.
• Review incident investigations company-wide and provide guidance on corrective actions identified to prevent incident re-occurrence.
• Assist in minimizing the financial liabilities as well as human suffering associated with work-related injuries, illnesses, vehicle accidents, property damage and natural disasters.
• Maintain open communication with internal and external individuals, companies, and government agencies on current and future safety issues.
• Provide site specific training as necessary for skill compliance with Local requirements.
• Assist with the creation of site specific orientation briefings

Skills

Expert Knowledge of all OSHA regulations, specializing in construction safety
10 years or more experience in either lead safety position or a position reporting at that level
Computer skills at an intermediate level or above in Microsoft Office

Ability to communicate with employees at all level of the organization
Excellent written and verbal skills required
Ability to analyze organizational process through the review of data
Ability to train others (individual, and groups)
