Design Engineer Mechanical Rotary equipment

QUALIFICATION : Bachelor Degree in Engineering (Mechanical) EXPERIENCE : Minimum 5 years KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES : Undertake design and engineering of rotary mechanical equipment and packaged equipment, such as; Development of equipment data sheets and detailed specifications. Sizing and selection of steam turbines, pumps, other rotating machines and packaged equipment e.g Boiler & Turbines Packages, Water Treatment and Chemical Dosage Packages etc. Design and specification of interfaces. Review of vendor documents and technical bid evaluations. Lead Engineering Project, typically involving; Examination of project SoW and developing deliverables, estimation of manhours and timelines. Monitoring and reporting of progress. Inter-disciplinary coordination in engineering projects. Communication and coordination with client engineers. Ensure compliance with to QMS procedure and provide regular feedback to the Section Manager. COMPETENCIES : Must have reasonable experience of work on projects of international repute. Posses some experience on an operating plant, preferably in technical or maintenance as a Discipline Lead or a Project Lead. Must have skills of problem solving, team working, good communicator, adaptability and flexibility, IT skills, self-motivation. Knowledge of relevant international codes and standards Estimations of mechanical equipment costs Manpower and Engineering resource estimation.
