Primary Responsibilities:
Support the monthly close process which includes consolidation of financial results from several foreign entities using different local accounting systems
Maintain general ledger accounts and related activities for the production of financial statements and reports
Reconcile, analyze and review general ledger accounts in preparation for month end close
Prepare journal entries and review accounting classifications, in accordance with generally-accepted accounting principles
Prepare documentation in support of external and internal audits
Perform reporting and analysis and investigate issues providing explanations and interpretations
Analyze financial statements, including balance sheets and P/L
Assist with building, reviewing and maintaining a strong internal control framework around the accounting and finance processes
Performs work in a self-directed manner and works with less structured, more complex issues
Participate in a collaborative way across multi-divisions and multi-countries
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field
3+ years of previous accounting experience
Intermediate experience with Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUPs, pivot tables, formulas, etc.)
Ability to demonstrate solid planning and organizational skills, along with a high degree of detail orientation
Ability to establish and maintain good working relationships with customers and colleagues, both internal and external
Ability to work in both team and self-directed work environments
Ability to demonstrate good communication skills, both verbal and written
Ability to solve moderately complex problems and/or conduct moderately complex analyses
Ability to effectively prioritize and juggle multiple concurrent projects
Preferred Qualifications:
Previous public accounting experience
Peoplesoft and SAP prior experience
Six Sigma/LEAN experience/certification is preferred
