VACANCY: Air Quality Engineer (AQE)
Requirements
1. Undergraduate degree in engineering, meteorology/atmospheric science or environmental science.
2. At least 5 years of Air Quality Monitoring experience, including meteorological monitoring, data collection, validation and reporting, consulting experience or environmental engineering experience preferred.
3. Experience in handling HORIBA Analysers for Ambient Air Quality Monitoring Stations.
4. Able to work independently as well as part of a team.
5. Strong analytical skills and good attention to detail with the ability to recognize discrepancies.
6. Effective verbal and written communication skills with project team members.
7. Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office software platform.
8. Must be able to meet deadlines and put in the time needed to get the job done.
9. Experience with local regulatory requirement on the source emissions and ambient air quality standards.
10. Experience with other EPA default and non-default air dispersion models a plus.
11. Work exposure to Oil and Gas exploration, one or more industrial facility categories; regulatory agency or prior manufacturing experience.
12. Computer proficient in Microsoft excel, word and data acquisition systems (DAS) and should be familiar with the industrial safety standards.
Responsibilities:
1. Perform calibration, maintenance, testing, troubleshooting, and repair on a variety of HORIBA gas analyzers for Continuous Air Quality Monitoring Stations (AQMS).
2. Maintain all logs and required documentation pertaining to repairs and preventive maintenance of the AQMS.
3. Complete periodic, corrective maintenance and scheduled maintenance; and improves operation of systems, instruments, controls, and other associated accessories installed in AQMS shelters.
4. Verify the AQMS data on daily, weekly and monthly basis and submit reports.
5. Update spare parts inventory on a periodic basis and recommend materials to be procured.
6. Submit Monthly Progress Report consisting of monthly activities, planned progress % and actual progress % with catch-up plan in case of any delay against planned progress.
7. Perform on-site diagnosis of electronic equipment and repair any malfunctioning monitoring equipment. Perform zero precision and other checks of monitoring instruments; record all maintenance and quality control and assurance procedures.
8. Develop computer files and records to assist in documenting calculations and quality activities. Review, refine, verify, validate, correct, and process air quality data and telecommunications information systems. Review, summarize and maintain electronic and manual data, manually collected data and data records, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance with regulatory and recordation guidelines.
